In commemoration, this day has been declared a national holiday, known as Bundesfeiertag, or F\u00eate nationale in French, Festa nazionale in Italian and Festa naziunala in Rhaeto-romance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This day the entire country is dressed in national colours, even the flowerbeds. The day starts off with a celebratory brunch, where locals and visitors are surrounded by delicious national cuisine, including classics such as milk-loaf.&nbsp;&#x1f35e;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the evening, children roam around with lanterns and have traditional Swiss sausage (Cerverlat) for dinner. By this time, 4-5-meter tall bonfires have been lit all around the country, some even located on mountain tops.<br>Fireworks mark the end of this night in many parts of the country.&nbsp;&#x1f389;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Switzerland, Europe.
