At some places it was even extended artifically to complete the picture.<br>More than 400 lovely river routes await the visitor, where historical local villages, meadows, windmills and wooden bridges are all part of the local sights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s an excellent pastime activity to sail through the narrow waterways in a boat with a local guide to really take in the views.&nbsp;&#x1f6f6;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t be surprised if a postal boat comes your way, since these waterways are commonly used transportation routes by the locals. Most houses in the area have boathouses or piers as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to its unique nature, Spreewald has been declared a reserve as part of the UNESCO Biosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t miss experiencing the famous spreewald pickle if you&#8217;re around.
